About Us
I have a goal to help change the practice of Family Medicine, one patient at a time. Direct Primary Care, or Direct Care in the specialists' fields, seeks to return the patient-physician relationship to the center of the practice of medicine, making the patient's needs once again, the priority.
I grew up thinking that I would be a doctor like the ones I remembered from my childhood. These were men who knew the folks in the community and were known by the communities where they served. They were available when needed, and the patient's needs were the priority. I saw this as a calling, and it used to be a noble profession.
I am called to the ministry of healing. This can only occur when there is a patient-physician relationship that is based on mutual respect and trust, a team of equals working toward helping you reach your healthcare goals. The best medical care comes from one-on-one interaction. In the typical outpatient setting, a primary care physician is expected to have 2500-3000 patients on his/her panel. This is largely due to the way insurance companies reimburse physicians and medical systems. By eliminating the middle man, I can keep my panel at 600 patients and actually have the time to fulfill my calling.
Highlights
- This is a Direct Primary Care practice
- A personal relationship with your personal physician
