As Arkansas’ oldest and largest health insurer, Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield has been helping improve the health, financial security and peace of mind of Arkansans for more than 75 years.

The Arkansas Blue Cross family (Arkansas Blue Cross, Arkansas Blue Medicare, BlueAdvantage Administrators of Arkansas, Health Advantage and Octave Blue Cross and Blue Shield) are national- and state-level leaders in health plan innovation and offer coverage options to fit any need or budget.

We offer two basic categories of coverage:
-- Consumer health plans (for individuals) – including a spectrum of health, dental and vision insurance policies for individuals and families, plus Medicare Advantage and Medicare supplement and prescription drug policies.
-- Employer-sponsored health plans – including fully insured or self-funded versions of group health, dental and vision plans.
Arkansas Blue Cross employs more than 3,200 people in locations throughout the state. The company serves nearly 2 million members – about 800,000 who live, work, learn and play in and around Arkansas and another 1.1 million through national accounts.

As a private, not-for-profit, mutual health insurance company, we stand apart. We are not a publicly traded company, so we never pay dividends to stockholders. Our policyholders actually own the company.

Since 2001, the company’s Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas has awarded more than $60 million to thousands of health-promoting programs in communities throughout Arkansas.
