Description
34 new people are moving to NWA each day, with Bentonville being one of the fastest growing cities. Investing in quality of life is vital to the growth of our community, there is no shortage of things to do in Northwest Arkansas; where nature meets art, meets music, meets food, meets education; so on. These intersections are what make the region so unique.
During this lunchtime discussion at 21c Museum Hotel, you will hear from business representatives about the growth of Bentonville's health wellness scene and how it impacts your business. We are honored to have reps from a plethora of Health & Wellness related groups joining us to speak to what's new, particularly as it relates to economic & talent development. There will be an open floor Q&A session following the panel discussion.

Charley Clark, Principal - Pea Ridge High School
Charley Clark is beginning his 16th year in the Pea Ridge School District. Charley's Pea Ridge career began as the junior high boys? basketball coach, before serving 7 years as the high school boys? basketball coach. He then spent 3 years as the director of the Pea Ridge Manufacturing & Business Academy (PRMBA), and is starting his 4th year as the high school principal. Charley will be joining us to highlight the PRMBA and speak to the programs successes in preparing students for skills beyond high school; thus promoting a better quality of life. Charley received a bachelor?s degree in English from Hendrix College in 2002. He later earned a master?s degree from Arkansas State University. He and his wife, Heather, have two daughters in the Pea Ridge School District. He is a lifelong sports fan, and enjoys spending time with his family, visiting Arrowhead Stadium, and losing golf balls in the woods.

Dr. Bakke, Staff & Wellness Specialist - Purely Natural
Dr. Bakke, a current staff member of Purely Natural CBD, is also owner and president of the clinical nutrition and medical consulting company Integrative Clinical Nutrition Solutions (ICNS). Dr. Bakke and his clinical care team develop and manage nutrition and bioidentical hormone-based protocols for patients with chronic health conditions.
Dr. Bakke holds a master?s degree in human nutrition from Columbia University. During his time working with Columbia he completed a 1-year clinical nutrition program for health professionals through Columbia University Medical Center and the Institute of Human Nutrition.
Dr. Bakke, who also holds a PhD in bio-organic chemistry, serves as a consultant to a diverse group of health and wellness businesses. His consulting work encompasses the development of: 1) customized dietary supplements, 2) plant derived medical foods, 3) nutritional genetic and blood chemistry test panels, 4) compounding pharmacy products and services and 5) specialized clinical care plans for medical doctors and their patients.

Dr. Stephen Goss, President - Mercy Clinic Northwest Arkansas
Steve was the first resident in a combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences training at University Hospital, Arkansas Children?s Hospital and the VA McClellan Hospital in Little Rock. He finished his residency in 1987 and became Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1987 and Pediatrics in 1988. Upon finishing residency, Steve and his wife, the former Susan Shambarger (OBU Class of 1980) moved with their two sons to Bentonville, AR where he joined the practice of Bentonville Medical Associates. In 1990 he co-founded the Garrett Goss Clinic in Bentonville, AR and worked as a full-time internist and pediatrician in the Bentonville and Rogers area until he started taking on Administrative duties with Mercy Health System of Northwest Arkansas in 2003. He now has a limited out-patient practice and is President of Mercy Clinic of Northwest Arkansas which includes over 200 physicians, advanced practitioners and physician assistants in 34 locations around Northwest Arkansas.
Steve was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in 1983 and was the recipient of the Rabbit Dickerson Award from the Bentonville/Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce in 2013. He has served as the principal investigator of several research studies in which his clinic participated and has been a member of the NWA Graduate Medical Education Consortium. He presently serves as a member of the UAMS NW Regional AHEC Community Advisory Board, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Board in Northwest Arkansas and is Site Director of a new Northwest Arkansas Internal Medicine Residency Program that is a collaboration between Mercy Health System Northwest Arkansas, UAMS Northwest and Ozark Regional VA Health System.

Dr. Scott Musick, Family Practitioner - Northwest Medical Plaza at Sugar Creek
Scott Musick, D.O., is a board-certified family practitioner with approximately 20 years of experience who is affiliated with Northwest Medical Plaza at Sugar Creek in Bentonville. He is a member of the medical staff of Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville and Northwest Medical Center-Springdale.
Dr. Musick completed his undergraduate education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, and then earned his medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, where he also completed a family medicine residency. He holds professional memberships in the American College of Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association.
