eCommerce: Digital Marketing
The WalStreet program, part of the Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce, is excited to offer quarterly WalStreet Fireside Chats.
Fireside Chats provide a small, intimate setting, giving suppliers access to day-to-day decision makers across key divisions of Walmart and Sam’s Club. Fireside Chats will be structured as open forums, including panel discussions and Q&A with Walmart, Sam’s Club, third party suppliers and CPG suppliers.
The WalStreet program is a diverse group of professionals who work directly with Walmart, Sam’s Club and/or suppliers – third party and/or CPG. They are committed to continuously improving how to do business within the Walmart and Sam’s Club community and advance their collective knowledge.
This Fireside Chat will feature expert panelists who will discuss eCommerce: Digital Marketing, Voice Technology and Mobile Marketing and Geofencing.
Expert Panelists:
Beth Gregg - Co Founder/CEO, ShopperBridge
Over 20 years in leadership roles at Leo Burnett, Fortune Magazine, and BusinessWeek informed Beth's approach to advertising and entrepreneurship. She developed expertise in technology, building lines of business, and recruiting high-performance sales teams for Electronic Arts and DataXu. These unique insights are now being used to build the ShopperBridge solution which is reshaping how CPG shopper marketers connect with their shoppers. Beth is originally from Chicago, and is a graduate of Tante Marie's Cooking School and Michigan State University. She lives in San Francisco.
Dirk Herdes - Nielsen
Dirk has been with Nielsen for over 11 years working in various client facing roles consulting clients in executing their marketing and sales strategies. Dirk is currently serving as Vice President for the Walmart Sam's Club US Team located in Bentonville, AR. In this role he is responsible for leading our Client Service partnership with Walmart; driving strategic engagement across Customer Insights, Merchandising, Merchandising Analytics, eCommerce, and Operations. Prior to joining the Walmart/Sam's Club US Team Dirk led the Retail COE and Walmart COE, focused on working across functions at Nielsen to refine how we service critical Retail clients in a rapidly changing commerce environment. As the leader of the Walmart COE he was responsible for fueling Nielsen's advantage at the world's largest retailer, enabling local suppliers to drive their growth strategies through data driven insights and bringing Nielsen Thought Leadership into the market.
Paul Cantrell-NPD
Paul Cantrell Wal-Mart Global Team Leader, The NPD Group, Inc.: Paul Cantrell has supported the Walmart business for over twenty years in numerous roles within the Consumer Package Good industry and with NPD. Paul’s career began with Procter and Gamble in a number of roles including sales and Category Management development. Paul left Procter and Gamble to run a start-up for five years before joining NPD to lead their Retail Practice. Paul has managed or been a part of the retail team since 2000 leading the US retail team as well as Canada and Mexico before moving to Bentonville to lead the Global Wal-Mart Team. Paul also plays a role in Innovation at NPD incubating new concepts such as receipt harvesting which was beta tested in 2010 and is now NPD's primary investment for consumer tracking. Paul lives in Bentonville with his family and is involved in numerous organizations and groups focused on making Bentonville a great place to live and raise children.
Matt McClanahan - Saatchi & Saatchi
Matt McClanahan is the Director of Digital Strategy at Saatchi and Saatchi X. He has spent the last 10 years managing multi-channel e-commerce campaigns for some of the world’s largest retail brands, across multiple markets; US, Canada, and Latin America. His professional expertise in based in e-commerce, data analytics, driving client and agency revenue growth, building relationships, evolving operational structure/process to deliver outstanding client service and campaign performance.
