Barriers and Helpers to Commerce
The WalStreet program, part of the Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce, is excited to offer quarterly WalStreet Fireside Chats.Barriers and Helpers to Commerce
Fireside Chats provide a small, intimate setting, giving suppliers access to day-to-day decision makers across key divisions of Walmart and Sam’s Club. Fireside Chats will be structured as open forums, including panel discussions and Q&A with Walmart, Sam’s Club, third party suppliers and CPG suppliers.
The WalStreet program is a diverse group of professionals who work directly with Walmart, Sam’s Club and/or suppliers – third party and/or CPG. They are committed to continuously improving how to do business within the Walmart and Sam’s Club community and advance their collective knowledge.
This Fireside Chat, "Barriers and Helpers to Commerce" will feature expert panelists who will discuss Barriers and Helpers to Commerce, that include; Importing Product, OTIF, and Third Party Issues.
Expert Panelists:
Catherine Goodwin – Sr. Director of Sales and Marketing, Galanz North America
With over 20 years’ experience as a supplier to Walmart, Catherine has coordinated the development, implementation and management of many direct import and domestic programs to Walmart and Sam’s Club. Immersed in the Asian culture from a very early age, Catherine crisscrosses boarders and embraces opportunities and challenges to bring CPG innovations to the retail market. Catherine enjoys international travel, gardening, hiking and mentoring young people new to the business world.
Meagan Bowman - CIO & Co-Founder, OneStone
Meagan joined Bill Waitsman (Chairman and Founder of Harvest Group) in September of 2016 in order to construct OneStone a multi-platform eCommerce service/technology model. Meagan had been consulting large CPG companies on their eCommerce strategy while serving as Group Director at The MARS Agency for clients including Campbell Soup, Colgate-Palmolive, and Sun Products. Meagan built and sold 2 startup concepts focused at the intersection of consumer behavior and digital technology in 2006 and 2012 respectively. Tennis, Skiing, and the “Bowman boys” keep Meagan busy when she’s doesn’t have her headphones on working in code.
Chris Moore - Vice President, Sales & Customer Solutions
Chris joined Prime in March of 2017 after previously working in the supplier community, including positions with Colgate-Palmolive, Gillette, Clorox. Chris has strong experience across different functions, categories, and channels. His background is well suited to understand supplier needs when dealing with retailers. In his current role, Chris works to develop customized supply chain solutions for suppliers that deliver both retailer compliance improvement and cost benefits to Prime customers.
